Flooring For Historic Building Fitted

We undertake some interesting projects and fitting the flooring for a historic building, in this case a 400 year old house is certainly one of them!

The customer approached us after a family member recommended us following an installation we’d carried out for them some time ago.

Not only did we install a number of new carpets we also moved numerous existing carpets to different areas of the property.

We initially supplied and fitted new carpets to the main staircase, the study, the hall, landings, rear staircase, the master “Gold” bedroom plus a large rear bedroom and snug.

Brockway Carpets were fitted throughout the space with their Dimensions Rock Pool Taupe was utilised in the snug and daughter’s bedroom and the luxurious Brockway Dimensions Opulence soft feather in the Gold master bedroom.

For the main stairs and landings, rear stairs, landings and hall they selected the stunning high performance Brockway Lakeland Herdwick Hilltop.

Following the installation of all the new flooring we then refitted some of the existing flooring from the Gold master bedroom to the dressing room. We also fitted extra carpet from the master bedroom to the mid landing toilet and bathroom.

Additionally, we created two made to measure mats for use in the house from the waste carpet.

The installation all ran smoothly, though our fitters did find moving some of the furniture rather challenging!
