Eden residence (University of Central Lancashire) - July / August 2007
Gainsborough won an eight week contract to refurbish all the floors within halls of residence, at the above university.
The work involved stripping out all the existing floors, preparing the floors to receive new coverings and laying the clients chosen flooring. This varied from rubber stud tiles to sheet vinyl and contract carpet.
The deadline was a strict 8 weeks, to ensure the halls were open ready for the new term in September. Gainsborough completed the contract early to the satisfaction of Mitie Construction (main contractor).

Mr and Mrs Braid domestic Preston– August 2007
Local customers needed to Karndean an entire ground floor and carpet upstairs. Gainsborough took on the installation, knowing Mr and Mrs Braid were extremely concerned about the uplift and removal of their existing floor and furniture. Due to ill health it was not an option they could do themselves.
Gainsborough coordinated the job, using both furniture removers and specialist carpet and Karndean fitters. Mr and Mrs Braid were kept informed, at all times, of the schedule. This ensured they were as relaxed as possible throughout what could have been a serious upheaval for them. Careful planning and communication, between all concerned, ensured the installation was completed swiftly, and to the client’s total satisfaction.
Since completion of the work, several friends and family of Mr and Mrs Braid, have visited the store to discuss their flooring requirements.
